This policy explains what personal data TARDIS Archives collects, why, and how it is handled. TARDIS Archives is a non-commercial fan database of UK Doctor Who physical media releases and is not affiliated with the BBC.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, plus standard technical data and the data collected by the third-party services described below.
- Contact form - When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit, along with the date and time of submission. This is used solely to read and reply to your message.
- Server logs - Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies that are set by the following third-party services. These providers may collect data about your visit, including your IP address and browsing activity, and may set their own cookies in your browser:

Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the site. They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:
- Hosting - the site is hosted on Railway, and our database is hosted on Neon. Contact form submissions and server logs are stored with these providers.
- Media storage - cover images and other media are stored and served via Cloudinary.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the providers above and as required to respond to your enquiries.
How long we keep your data
Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our records, and are deleted when no longer required. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting providers.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, please get in touch via the contact form.
If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk ↗).
